Our team of top coaches includes professional athletes who compete at the highest levels. As well as Triathlon Coaches, Run Coaches, Cycle Coaches and Swim Coaches, we also have a Nutritionist on board.
Neil Cooper
Triathlon, run and swim coach
Neil has been involved in coaching since 1991. He’s coached multiple sports in the UK and overseas.
His passion for sport and coaching has led him to train over a thousand coaches and coach beginners up to an age group European champion.
His desire to grow the sport has resulted in him becoming Director of Triathlon England.

Charlie Harding
Triathlon coach
Charlie has been involved in Triathlon from the age of 7. He has progressed through to British Triathlons Elite World Class program.
He has guided a visually impaired athlete at the Commonwealth Games and many World Series Races. He is currently training for the Paralympics in Paris.
He started coaching while at University for the University club and has found a passion for this alongside his Sports science degree so has progressed this since.

Kate Currie
Nutritionist
Kate graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, from Durham University. Following a post-graduate diploma in Nutritional Medicine, from The University of Surrey, Kate’s focus shifted to a study of the chemicals initially offered to the body, in terms of food. In 2012, Kate became professionally accredited to practice in the field of human nutrition, graduating with Distinction in Nutrition and Food Science, at Master’s level. A year later, this was supplemented with a further Master’s degree from Loughborough University in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. Kate became Head Nutritionist at Loughborough Sport at Loughborough University. This included working for England Cricket in 2015, the year when the women won The Ashes.

Henrietta Colborn
Cycle coach
Henrietta (affectionately known just as 'H') has coached for a number of years seeing some of her riders take part in the UCI master's world championships. H splits her time between Cumbria and mainland Europe, where she trains and competes at UCI and World Tour level for the Dutch based GT Krush TUNAP women’s pro cycling team.
In order to keep her fitness in peak condition she trains come rain or shine; cycling and running, as well as working on her strength and conditioning in the gym.

Melissa Coleman
Travel co-ordinator and Triathlon leader
Melissa is a travel counsellor by trade but after watching the Lakesman event on year, decided to have a go. In her first tri she qualified for the GB age group team and in her second, she won her age group at the Lakesman long course.
As well as being the Lakes2Tri travel counsellor for the training camps, responsible for all the bookings, she is a group leader during the camp.
